DIMENSIONS
Slim Design in Droid has many advantages when using phone. Droid has ticker than N900 with only 13.7mm, while N900 measures 18mm.
KEYBOARD
Keyboard is on Droid is flat and is not easy to type fast on it.
By user experience better QWERTY keyboard have N900.
LCD
Booth, N900 and droid has LCD that supports full 16M color range. Nokia has a 3.5 inches display showing 800 X 480 pixels and has very good sunlight legibility.
Motorola Droid has a bigger 3.7 inch display having 480 X 854 pixels resolution – display is really very good with nice and crisp details.
TOUCHSCREEN
Nokia has resistive touchscreen (supports the use of stylus and handwriting recognition) but is a little less responsive in some moments. Touchpad on Droid doesn’t support stylus but is more responsive.
OS
Android have more apps, more support, and it’s currently more developed and finetuned than Maemo is at the moment.
We expect a little boom of maemo app. and support in near future. We must consider that Maemo isn’t only Nokia, but thousands of opensource developers. This is real power of Maemo.
MEMORY
Larger capacity of memory has N900 (Internal 32GB + microSD up to 16GB = max 48GB), Droid has only 8GB card included.
BATTERY
Motorola Droid has bigger battery in spec, in real life when operating with phone Nokia has better battery life.
We can say that in this segment – N900 wins.
CAMERA
N900 has 5MP camera with Carl Zeiss Lens Dual LED Flash and autofocus. Droid has 5MP camera too, with Dual LED Flash and autofocus capabilities.
Video: N900 records WVGA video with 848 X 480 pixels at 25 frames per second and Droid video is 720 X 480 pixels @24fps.
Best and fairest way to compare quality of cameras beetwen these models is to show you picture and video samples.
