At the beginning let say something about software platforms of booth phones. N97 comes with the Symbian Fifth Edition OS. In front of the Android, it seems like a mockery. But N900 comes with Maemo 5 is an OS that can atlast match the power and wow factor that has made the Android and the iPhone famous.

Booth phones have 3.5mm audio jack, stereo FM radio and TV-out support. Bigger screen on N900 is particularly evident when gaming, playing multimedia, connecting to TV. Maemo 5 OS although is new – have bigger potential and possibilities. Maemo5 is very stable and it’s very fast and very slick. Lesser softwares and applications, no java applications is deficiencies compared to N97. Touch screen on N900 is responsive, better than N97. You can integrate sype and MSN with your text messaging app, on N97 you can’t. For those who have collection of divx / xvid films, they can watch these films on N900 without any conversion.Using N900 can be real pleasure because of fast CPU and real multitasking, especially web browsing experience, so we can confirm that N900 is Nokia flagship device. It does not diminish power and features that has N97. N97 can successfully challenge other phones like iPhone 3GS, Plam Pre and similar.

To be fair, the N97 has been given a significant boost from Nokia in the form of a new fimrware update that puts right many of its failings. But even with that, the N900 is simply leagues ahead of it in every way.
But remains question why Nokia have decided to release both phones when they’re seemingly competing with one another. We think that is because of different platforms, N97 with Symnian, N900 with Maemo 5. Especially in this segment, when comparing, you can find the most differences.
If you’re the type of person who wants a great Web browsing experience in a smartphone that can better most of those on the market, both in terms of features and power, then go for the Nokia N900.
