Android look alike theme for Nokia N900

an-DROID is name of theme for N900 that uses some Android details and icons to make N900 look alike having Android OS on N900. I have personally installed this theme and it looks great, but it’s impossible to create fully Android look alike because some limitations in Maemo OS.

Widelands a strategy game for the N900

Widelands is a strategy game for Nokia N900 and gameplay is similar to Settlers II.

In this game, you start out on a small piece of land with nothing more than a few of useful resources. Using those, you can build yourself an empire with many thousands of inhabitants. On your way towards this goal, you will have to build up an economic infrastructure, explore the lands around you and face enemies who are trying to rule the world just like you do.

Nokia N900 sales below 100,000 since the release

Nokia sold less than 100,000 top-of-the-range N900 smartphones in its first five months on the market, according to Reuters. Maybe N900 really is geeky device after all, but that’s not problem, because most of N900 users enjoy in the device. This result is said for both Maemo and Nokia, and lets hope next device powered with MeeGo will be sold better.

MeeGo for Nokia N900 now available!

Nokia N900 finally got MeeGo after all. This version is an official firmware, but as of today MeeGo 1.0 is available for download and it runs on N900 as well as Atom-based netbooks. The next update, v1.1, is already scheduled for October.
